Caller posed as our nephew, said he was in jail for running a red light and seriously injuring a pregnant woman. Had us hold for his "attorney" who wanted us to post bail or nephew was going to jail for 6 weeks. Claimed nephew was 8 hours away in San Diego "picking up a friend at the hospital". I have received 34 calls from this number today alone. I called back — they say I have a zero balance in my so called account (no account). I then called Telus @ 403-263-7195 and heard the same recording.
I called 403-263-7800 to speak with someone and to ask why they have called me numerous times, the answer I receive is an automated service saying "this number is not in service."
