Claimed to be calling from Chase Bank regarding the estate of my recently deceased aunt. "I'm trying to locate the party that is authorized to act on behalf of the Elizabeth Joy Estate." She did not give her full name, and did not indicate which department she was calling from. Caller ID identified the incoming call as coming from my deceased aunt. Since we have already set up estate accounts with Chase, and I was a named authorized contact on her accounts prior to her death, I am assuming this was a scam call.
Trying to harass people thinking they are getting legal documents. Total scam
Called repeatedly, finally heard someone asking if I was [my name] and if I worked at [my company]. I said Yes, but then realized I shouldn't have. They hung up right away. I tried calling back, but no answer.
Two calls with voicemail from this number. I answered the first and as soon as a voice said it was from "preauthorization" without identifying source and asked me to confirm my name--I hung up.
