Claims to be a debt collector. Asked for someone I do not know. Fake as the day is long
JP Morgan Chase less than a minute ago Caller claimed suspected fraud/identity theft of a credit card. Gave me all the information to make a police report to NYPD. Once they transfered me to "NYPD" I asked for the phone number in case we were disconnected. "NYPD" promptly hung up. New play on an old scam.
Claimed they are going to seize my assets. I have no idea who these folks are, and I don't owe any money.
Went directly to voicemail. Never rang. Played an electronic music loop for 30 seconds. I have had 3 such calls now, one each in June, July and tonight, August 5.

They claimed that someone had opened a virtual card in my name a few days ago and had recently used it to purchase a gun.
Lauren Mendez said she was from Am Ex Fraud Dept & someone had opened account in my name and purchased illegal guns & ammo. She said NYPD must be contacted within 2 hours or Homeland Security would surround my home & seize all my assets. She said she'd transfer me & was adamant I use her transfer # instead of calling direct, which I told her I'd do. She kept insisting. She called back 5 minutes later, then hung up.
Anthony Jensen (WFBID 05105) pretending to be a Wells Fargo Bank representative using WFB phone number 650-855-7515. His associate Johan Romero (email johan15ev@hotmail.com) claiming that my account was compromised and scammed me $1K through Zelle. Beware of these calls.
They claimed someone in Texas was request a credit card with my SSN 3 days ago. Then they transferred me to the manager in New York.
Left no message so i blocked them. Anything out of New York is a scam.
