called on a “personal business matter”. started asking for personal information and wouldn’t tell me who he was with or what the call was for.

Caller ID number- 866-840-0387. Claimed to be calling from "my county" as a courtesy call prior to being served to let me know a summons had been issued for fraudulent activity. Stated if I am contesting charges or want more information to call the party directly at 888-808-6757. Then stated I would need to refer to case number.....and no number was given, call simply ended. (My location is WInston Salem, NC)

I wasn't able to understand who the lady claimed to be representing. They like to call and not leave a message. Upon answering they asked for someone who isn't the name on the voice mail. They are persistent in asking for the SAME person...

They don't say which company they are calling from. A legitimate caller always introduces themselves and says where or who they are calling from.
