Who called me from this phone number (860) 745-2979

Ha, ha! Got a call from this number, I happen to know the owner. Answered and it was some telemarketer who spoofed the number (neighbor spoofing). I did call my acquaintance and let him know. Why do idiots do this? He reported it.
