They called from this number saying they were us auto care and the number on my caller ID was for Jerry's Welding in Johnstown PA
Claimed to be from a medical scheduling office but was clearly a larger call center, given the typical background noise. The woman spoke with an accent and wanted me to confirm my info to tell me what she wanted to schedule. When I asked for what service she called me, she replied that she couldn't open my file unless I gave her my info. I told her that in this case she wouldn't even know who she is talking to or why and I ended the call. Seems to be a possible scam/phishing call. Does anyone have info on this number?
8/18/26 5:58 pm I let the answering message handle it. No message... as usual.
Said her name was Harper Robo Call about closing out my Medicare File which I don't have medicare.
They claimed to me Senior Life Services guy said his name was Mark Adams and he was foreign. He asked me about whole life insurance and I noticed that he got very upset when I told him I did not have a bank account and he was trying to push me to set up Chime on the call.
They were trying to sell me whole life insurance. Guy goy upset when I told him my name he said he did not believe me and hung up
Called the number from another phone and recording said no such number
Claimed to be a sheriff's office calling about a federal jury summons
Robo Call, then connected me to a vile individual who demanded I put the person on the phone whom they was trying to reach.. Very Rude and IGNORANT.. I gave her the same energy back.
Claimiung to be something called "Direct TV" ( ?) they just hung up when told that we never considered anything from a Do Not Call Law violating sales scam caller .
Transcript of call: "Hi, this is the, um, Todd, um, senior tax officer assigned to your file. Good morning. Um, this is Todd Erickson. I'm with the tax review team. I was looking over your file earlier today and wanted to touch base with you with the April 15th deadline getting close. It still looks like there may be something pending, maybe a balance or return that wasn't finished. I know things have been a bit uncertain lately. So the IRS has made some adjustments in certain cases. Depending on your situation, there may be a way to reduce or even clear what's showing. I'm not sure if you've already taken care of it, but if not, it might be worth a quick look. When you have a minute, give me a call at 866-771-6903. I'll be around today till 6 p.m."
Text - saying, "Hi, I just restored my contacts backup and saw an unknown number, who are you?"
