Who called me from this phone number (801) 528-3686

Got a call from 8015283686. They stated that I was charged $299 on my credit card for an order of Joe Biden used diapers. I told them I didn't order nor wanted Biden's used diapers. They said they were on their way, but that to cancel and recall the diapers it would cost $499. I went ahead and paid for the return. Was that the right thing to do?
