I received a email addressed to my dead son thanking him for an online purchase through PayPal for $357 made August 7, 2025 to be taken out within 24 hours. Obviously he didn’t make a purchase since he passed away 6/7/2022. The number on the receipt is an Ogden, Utah # 801-457-8338.
Received e mail with this number as a call back # if there was a problem. They said I had a large PayPal purchase which I did not. I looked up and this is a scam.
Received several calls from this number…and reported the number. Now it’s just a nuisance.
I have received two voice mail messages from this number claiming to want an employment verification for one of my employees. They are saying they are with Mountain Loan Centers, they are not. I called them and they had no idea what I was talking about. I know for a fact this is fraud, my employee is my son and he has NOT applied for any loans.
