The first woman who called stumbled all over her words and he said she was a trainee. when I asked for what company they work for now that response was just merchant services would not give me any other information. i called my cc company they said it was a SCAM

I received a call to our office from "Merchant Services" regarding an overpayment on our account. They wanted to speak to bookkeeping. I kept trying to get information about what company we overpaid and she couldn't give me any information. All she could say was that it was in reference to our credit card but couldn't tell me which company the card was through.
i did receive a call. this is not a scam. i was being charged and they did help me. all these people saying that it was for their bank its not its the actual processor. I was hesitant at first b it was a 800 number but she did help correct my account.
Just received "the call". Husband answered and said he didn't handle these issues and will pass on to his wife. Shelby was the name of the person calling. She told him we were being overcharged $39.95 a month by our Merchant Services. I called our bank and they did some digging. Total scam. Googled Department of Billing & Compliance and there is no such entity. Call back number 800-348-1556 ext 501 for Shelby.

The company he referenced does not have "Merchant Services" of any kind. He left the number 1-800-348-1556 extension 7024. The number he called from was 1-469-501-1656
Received a call from Stacy with Merchant Services @ 800-348-1556 x614 telling me we were over billed and needed for a statement to be faxed to her. When I told her our rate was still 1.55%, she told me we were not compliant and she needed account information to help. I then told her she should have everything she needs as our agent of record and she hung up. We are located in Texas.
I told them to work through my merchant that I am signed up with and he hung up on me.

got a call from 800-348-1556 a Rucky scammer, called himself Camron Jones wanted a statement to stop my bank from over charging me. haha
Got a call today from a guy named chase from this number at ext. 7002 wanting to let me know my merchant services messed up and charged us for PCI non-compliance for Aug. and Sept. and they just now caught it. Visa and Mastercard makes them call us and have us send in a statement from one of those months to get a verification code that we put on the statement and text or fax back into them. At first, I didn't think much about it, but I wasn't at work at the time, so I didn't have the statements infront of me. I told him I would have to call him back when I obtained them. Well, he has called from a number of 972-497-2800, 3 times this afternoon! Then when I dont answer, he calls from a restricted number. After reading all the above, Im sure it is a SCAM. And nowhere on my statements is there an extra charge for non-PCI compliance!!
It's a scam. They call and claim there has been an overcharge on your merchant services account. They cannot provide you with your account number and will hang up on you if you ask what company they are from. Block their number!

Got a call from Justus telling me about an overcharge, ext 604. Says he's with merchant services but couldn't tell me more than that.
I have gotten multiple calls from 800-348-1556 Ebony has called a dozen times and then several men wanting me to email over our merchant services credit card statements. I called merchant services they confirmed that they are not associated with that number nor had the been calling regarding over billing. They are scammers. I call Ebony out and told her not to call our company again because they were scammers and that I had already confirmed that they were scammers and she said Ok I will note it to the account that you do not care about over charges. They need to get a better job other than trying to scam people out of money. It aggravates me so bad!!
We, too, received a voicemail from this number stating that our account had been flagged for being overbilled for fees. When I called back I was immediately suspicious because their automated answering service was sketchy. I pressed 3 for customer service and a live person answered (not normal for Merchant Services to provide a live CSR that quickly). There was lots of noise in the background making it sound like they were a very busy office. The person who originally called was out that day, so I was connected to "Tony" the manager. He went though all of what was stated in the prior complaints on this page. I was really suspicious that they didn't have copies of my statements and wanted me to either email or fax them. They said they would generate a trouble code once they received them. I told them my internet was down and I didn't have a fax machine and that I would send them as soon as I could. After I hung up I googled their number (800-348-1556) and found this page so I never responded. Two days later, Tony called ME back. I was busy so he left a message to call. He knew who I was without me saying (so they obviously have caller ID). He then transferred me to Roxanna before I could say anything to him. I told Roxana that Tony transferred me before I had a chance to tell him not to waste my time with this scam. She said, "What scam?" and I told her about this page. She was quite insulted and told me that we were, in fact, overpaying but that she would make a note on our account. She also told me not to call their number again. No worries there!

Received same type call, asking for the "billing" dept. I called them back asked for Ext 405 per the message my staff took & left a message on "Eric's" machine, with in 30 seconds a woman "Lauren" called back saying she missed a call from this number. I explained to her I was trying to return a call from extension 405 & she said she would help me. I asked her which business she was representing & she would not give the name of WHICH merchant services business she worked for, then was SUPER rude telling me she was trying to refund me & I haven't responded. I asked her AGAIN, which merchant account was she calling about & she said "I've told you & you're not listening" I told her I felt that she was a SCAM & unless she could give me the name of the Merchant Service account that I was speaking to I was going to hang up. She laughed at me & said - "Bitch I Told YOU!" Yup so I hung up on her.
