Got a call from 7739819135?
I received a call from 7739819135 . I do have a 5/3 bank account. I went online and there was nothing due. This is another famous scammer.
Same as others have reported ... on 11-20-2021 am. Also, now getting calls from Toll Free # 800-240-8151 for same, asked for my birth date. I said "no" and she "Jennifer" with oriental voice, same as voice in message from 773#, said "OK" and hung up.
This was a legit call from 5/3 bank, calling to inform me that I missed a payment on my 5/3 credit card. She also updated my contact information (phone number). I checked my online 5/3 account, and confirmed that she updated my contact information.
Contacted Fifth Third they said this is NOT a legitimate phone number associated with their company in any way shape or form including that this is not a third party company calling on their behalf like a collection agency as someone mentioned in above comment. I was told from Fifth Third that this was a SCAM and that they were PHISHING for my account or social security information and had me report it to the internal security investigation department for Fifth Third
They claim they are from 5/3. They are not. I have reported these calls to 5/3 and they said it is not one of there numbers. This is a total SCAM
Scam
We have gotten 2 calls so far. The caller ID said "Fifth Thrd Bank". That was my first clue that it was a scam. Answered the first call and they wanted to verify my identity. I ended the call immediately and went to my local branch where they verified it is a scam.
I called to Fifth Third Bank today, and asked about this number. They said this number is not from Fifth Third Bank. Today I received a lot of call from this number. And I just received it few minutes ago.
Fifth Third confirmed that this was a scam. They were trying to get information out of me to "verify" my account and would not tell me the "urgent" matter they had with my account until I gave them my information.
