I am here to report this number and the person behind this. Hopefully they'll be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
I was called by this number tonight (at 5:31pm) and also from the 252-302-6290 number mentioned in the post by "Ticked Off" (at 10:27am, three days ago). I also have an answering machine and caller ID and have not picked up. They did not leave a message either time.
Robot selections of a woman's voice that knew my name. Usually, scammers call for the elderly woman that previously had my number. The voice selections are responsive to questions, asking for funding for women with cancer. I am undoubtably certain that these are lowlife ruthless bastards. 704-585-8962
They called Dec 1. Not picking up when I don't know the number. If it's important, people will leave a message, scammers won't.
Called tonight at 8:58pm kinda late I think...caller ID said CCI 704-585-8962 annoying.....I have turned my answering machine (I still have one too) and phone stopped ringing automatically after 4 rings which is my standard pick up for the answering machine...Robo even knows how many to count annoying.
Have been calling frequently lately. We listen to answering machine (yes, we still have one) pick up and they always ask for “Johnâ€. No John living here! Annoying for sure but thank goodness for caller ID and our answering machine. But who thinks this is a viable business model, other than Eastern European and Russian scam artists?
Have called the last 2 nights during dinner. We do not pick up and they don't leave message. Called from this number ostensibly tonight. Last night CID said 252-302-6290. Again no message but call was about at the same time. They are morons if they think we are going to pickup. For a while these kinds of calls drifted off and we figured that after the Equifax mess was known they were all on a feeding frenzy with our credit. Lately these calls have started up again. Most are likely spoofed--they think ploys like "clothing pickup" or spoofing our area prefix will trick people into picking up. They are wasting their already worthless time and energy. I hope there's a special place in hell for these pieces of excrement.
Same as others - calls late in the evening, no one there. Caller ID says CCI. I'd like to find them and choke them like a chicken!
