Someone called my fiance claiming to be from US Marshal and said her SSN has been compromised, and asked her to withdraw her bank money and deposit it into a new bank account under a different SSN.
This scam coincided a few months after my wallet lost in an Uber and the Uber driver was not returning my calls to exchange the wallet. The individuals (maybe just one person) were allegedly from Social Security Administration and US Marshals. They convinced me that my SS# had been compromised with drug trafficking and there was a warrant for my arrest. I would need a new SS# but had to deposit into a Bitcoin ATM to re-establish my ID. The caller ID came across as a Government agency. I was supplied with a case number, names and badge numbers of the person on the call. The callers had accents that did not necessarily match the Anglo-Saxon names they gave. My bank recognized that this was a scam after I had been terrified into doing what they had asked.

I got a call from the same scammers. Be ware! They try to steal your money, social security number and personal information. I recorded their entire call and am submitting it to the FBI to get these scamsters arrested and put away in jail in their own country.
