Who called me from this phone number (505) 726-4479

someone is calling me from this number stating that they with social security and that someone in texas is using my social security number. when I asked questions like how did you get this number and why was I not notified by mail. the woman on the phone wanted to me to give her my date of birth and verify my mailing address. I responded by telling her that if this is legit then send me something in writing in the mail from social security. They will not stop calling me so I had to block the number.
