Got a call from Olivia at 323-603-3974 saying a 'civil complaint" was filed against me. Left a case number and 866 number to call back. They tracked down my mom's home number and told her same thing. I remember getting one like this last year as well (from another "law firm") and I think that one said that a packet had been sent to me. Ignored and gee, nothing happened. Same type of scam. I guess when you call the 866 number they will try to get you to pay them for something?

I received a call today saying it was from Los Angeles/Ellington & Asso.. They said there was a pending civil complaint about me. Told me to take down a file number and call another number to follow up. Also said they sent me out a packet regarding this. I told them this was a scam and I hung up.
I got a call from this number today as well. Stating that there is a civil lawsuit filed against me. They wanted to give me a phone number to call Ellington and associates law firm but I told them it is fraud. Also, that I have no idea who they are not that law firm. The proceeded with saying will you’ve been notified about the lawsuit and it’s still going to proceed. I said ok cool thanks.

Actually got the exact same message from someone named Shayna Warner from Ellington & Associates. Same BS, about civil lawsuit with a case number, supposedly packet sent, blah, blah, blah. Was supposed to call back 866-959-1583, which I think I will after I'm home with some not so nice verbage. Who the heck are these people? Does Ellington & Associates know their name is being used (there is a law firm with that name), or are they part of this??? SICK TO DEATH OF SCAMMERS! I work too hard, take care of my business and pay my bills. LEAVE ME ALONE!
