Call from 986-400-9003. Caller stated was from Chase Bank (first time) calling in reference to a possible imposter applying for a credit card in my wife's name. My response "sorry you have called a business , There is no one here by that name. Hung up. Over a dozen calls from different numbers in 986 area code and 804 area code. Caller was from Citi bank same script word for word. My response "sorry you have called a business , There is no one here by that name. Hung up. Several more calls from 986 area code and 804 area code. I called back the (986) 400-9003 (Most often calling). Questioned the guy on other end as to the many calls, same script as before. I asked His name, location, office branch, employee id #. Informed him I was investigating a number of scam calls coming from his (986) 400-9003. He stated my # was not FBI .ect. Informed him I was running this call from a relay over ip for track and trace. He asked who i worked for. Stated a independent firm collecting data to assist none disclosed agency. " We will be contacting you for more data soon." Hung up. We are reporting to FBI IC3 for further followup.
