Claimed to be Anthem/Blue Cross Insurance. Scammers.
I should have known better, but, being stupid, answered "yes" .... DON'T SAY "YES"! THIS IS NOT ANTHEM/BCBS!!!! Robo Call: "This is anthem. Blue Cross and Blue Shield. This call may be recorded for quality assurance. We're calling for _____ ______. Yes or no? Is this ______? I'm sorry, I didn't hear you. Well, did you say "yes" this is _____. Okay. This is Anthem Blue Cross in Blue Shield calling for ______. We're calling with an important reminder for him. Please ask him to call us back toll free at 1-855-790-5018. Again, the number is 1-855-790-5018. Thank you for passing this message along and have a good day. Goodbye."
I have been getting these calls but not answering. They leave a voice-mail saying they are calling for a reminder. A reminder for what. I'm not dumb enough to think insurance us calling for reminders
Call claiming to be from Anthem, asked me to say 'Yes' or 'No' to confirm my name, and then said there's important information for me and another 1800 number. I said some expletives and hung up. Blocked!
Claim to be Anthem and asking for personal information.
I get this call every day (automated) asking for Ishmael Hernandez Estraud. Call originates in Northern Massachusetts (Massachusetts Anthem), and I have Anthem California, so naturally I pick up. Automated system asks for DOB and other identifying information. Call doesn't get completed since I hang up, but the call occurs once per day around 8:00 AM Pacific/11:00 PM Eastern. Write the number down, block it in your phone, and label blocked number as ANTHEM BLUE CROSS SCAM MASSACHUSETTS.

This is a healthcare scam. They claim they are from Anthem Blue Cross, but then the automated system asks you for your DOB and other information to verify your identity. No company is allowed to CALL YOU and ask you for information to verify your identity, only when you call THEM is that allowed.
