I've also received numerous calls from 973-891-3470 during the past week (today is 6/16/23), saying that it was an urgent message from Verizon Wireless about my account, saying "this is an urgent service alert please call us back within 24 hours to resolve a change in the status of the account belonging to (never said name) please call us today at 1-800-754-0961 where you will be prompted to enter your 10 digit reference number (unknown number) once again (and repeated message)." My account is up-to-date with Verizon, so I knew it was a scam. Also the caller id on my home phone said LaneBryant. I googled the number, and saw that other people were experiencing the same treatment from this fraud. I left a message with my experience on that site as well, and blocked contact from this number.
It left a message saying "If this is ____________ (my name), press 1" That's all.

They got my name totally wrong (not even close), and my account is up-to-date with Verizon, so I knew it was a scam. I googled the number, and saw that other people were experiencing the same treatment from this fraud. I left a message with my experience on that site as well, and blocked contact from this number.
