A woman with a slight accent called and asked for me by name said that she had an urgent business matter to discuss with me but needed to verify the last 4 digits of my social security number with me and told me the last four of my number which was alarming to start off with. I told her I do not verify personal information over the phone and asked what the business matter was. She said she could not tell me unless I verify my DOB. I told her again I dont verify that information over the phone. Then asked what the business matter was again. She said I had to verify one of those 2 things to make sure I was indeed the real person she was calling for. I told her I was not going to do that so she may as well not call back again. She hung up.
