Insurance sales. Calls at 4 a.m. and other unholy hours. No one ever answers and pressing 2 to be removed from their calling list is useless. Press 1 to be connected to an agent an no one EVER picks up. Just hold music.
Spanish- or Indian-accented male who sounded genuinely surprised that a woman answered, quickly changing his schtick from 'sir' to mam, identifying himself as John from unknown Health Group regarding medicare and asking for me by name. When he asked are you Jane Doe? and I told him 'no', he immediately hung up. It was a family member's phone number and wasn't my phone number. I have NEVER used that number for calls nor have I ever given that number out for contact. Yet, the scammer/evil-doer on the other end of the connection knew enough about the circumstances that he altered the bait and asked for me personally.
I received back to back calls 954-289-4133, 402-817-0796 and 516-825-5634 Called LM that her name was Carrie Saxs and I needed to call back concerning an urgent matter. When I called the person answering said she was on another line and would have to call me back and asked for my information. I told her don't bother. I know know one in NY nor do I have any business there and I hung up.
