This scam is from the National Police and Trooper Association with a prerecorded message requesting donations to their charity. Upon financial review of this "charity", less than 10% of their donations go to law enforcement.
Text message from caller ID 940-279-5494. "AFCU Fraud Alert" "You online access has been temp...". Didn't open the text at all because I know it was phishing / fraud. Assumed they were trying to fake an American Federal Credit Union message and I have never had an account with them. My neighbor had a similar alert on her cell but from WF (Wells Fargo). Total bogus texts.
