Called and scammed my husband out of $2500. Claimed to be a police officer.
I have received calls from random local numbers. They also called my husband. They told me it was S & P, SNP, or SP processing, not sure which because they do not seem to talk very clear when they say the company name. I answered 2 calls from them today back to back with different numbers, but I believe it was the same person. The first call I didn't say anything and they proceeded to say some spill about employment verification and such since I haven't responded, they hung up. They then called right back to which I answered. I wouldn't verify anything other than my name, since she asked for me. She wanted me to verify birth date, but I told her that I would not verify anything until I had received something in writing. To which she responded that they had sent something to my address (she gave me the number and street name) and said you did not receive it. Then the call disconnected. If this is truly a legit company, and I answered and was talking to them, why would they hang up when I tell them I would like something in writing and that I hadn't received anything?
