Calls from this number are from a debt collection agency (Allied Interstate), however, they claim to be associated with Medicare (the ruse is used in order for you to drop your guard and identify yourself, after which they will harass you incessantly (they've been coming at me for almost 13 -- yes, thirteen -- years for a student loan that I never applied for or received).
