A woman with a heavy accent told me that she was with Department 35 and that my Windows computer was infected with a virus. She told me that I needed to put the computer online so that she could upload software to fix it. I informed her that I did not currently have a computer running the Windows operating system. She persisted and I had to hang up.
He asked for me by name- when I said "who the hell is calling me at 9pm?"- he hung up. Disturbing.
They called from Appleton, WI. We answered because it was at 9:30PM. I don’t answer sweetly and they hung up!
