A lady called and said something about a rent to own home, and she was so quiet and unclear that I could barely hear her. When I asked which address she was calling about, she used my first name in a creepy way but did not answer my question. When I asked again, she said, "Oh my God"... as if she was so annoyed that I didn't understand whatever scam she was pushing. Now I'm getting texts from this number. This company doesn't hire the sharpest people or the most moral, but what can we expect from a scam operation?
The call showed up as Comcast and the person knew my name. Once I said ye, it was me.. they hung up. I called back but the line never rang? The voice has an Asian accent.
just had the same thing happened. Phone rang, I answered but said nothing to see if it was a robocall. I heard some papers shuffling so figured it was a personal said "hello." Person on the other end, non-native English speaker, responded "hello". He asked me my name, mispronouncing it as all strangers do. I responded in my best don't be wasting my time voice "can I help you?". Person choked out "oh my God" and hung up. Never called back. Sooo weird.
Scammers. My husband received a call from this # just now, extremely aggressive salesperson claiming to be from Comcast, knew when we had opened account & amount of our last bill. Tried to get him to switch to a "lower" priced plan (which ended up being higher than our monthly bill now due to equipment fees - someone didn't do their homework) and even sent him an email with all the included features (which did not list features he had listed verbally). Husband was getting weirded out & told them he wanted to discuss any household decisions with his wife first, and the dude on the phone literally told him that he would lose the opportunity to take advantage of the "great deal" if he were to do that. Husband noped out real fast after that.
100% Scam, confirmed. Claimed to be from Xfinity, new my name and minor details about my account. He wanted to guide me through installation and assured me, "You will need my help." I know better, so I confirmed with xfinity this is not a legitimate number. Be aware.
Said they were Sprint. Tried to tell me my sprint account was blocked. I said, if it were blocked, why are you calling me on my sprint serviced phone? He then told me to Google the number and call them back. REALLY!
