Grandparent scam on 8/19/21 asking for $8000
Got call. Grandchild in need of bail scam.
Yes, phone call to my land line. Man said he was oldest grandson. Gave me police report # to give to Dennis Mitchell, his lawyer when he called. Mitchell called from Mahopac NY, 8380 #. He asked me for police report # & name of man who called me. I said report # given to me, but gr'son would not give name. I did not give my name, any info but man referred to my husband w/correct name which he could find anywhere. These scam people just never give up. It's funny. The man could not understand why i wanted him to say his name-to verify who he was.
Called my grandmother and said I was dying in new York and she needed to send money

I got this same phone call, same number saying my grandson was in an accident and it was his fault so he needed $8,000. to bail him out. Said his name was Dennis and from India.Said his case number was 8322391. The phone number he wanted me to call was 914-2568380.
