Got unwanted call from 913-270-2930?
Received a call at 12:38 PT on January 27, 2021 from this number. It was a woman claiming that my Amazon Prime account needed updating. I dismissed her and started checking on the telephone number. Hmmm, what a surprise. It was a Kansas phone number and it reminded me of a scam pulled back in April 2020 when someone had used my debit card information for a purchase from "Outfitters" in Kansas City. My debit card was immediately suspended by my bank, a new card issued and after the bank's investigation, the fraudulent charges were reversed and the money put back in to my bank account. So now, 9 months later, it appears that someone was trying to hit my debit card again, only to find out that it was not valid anymore. But that didn't stop them to call me to "update" my account. This was the first and only time that I ever ordered anything from Amazon. I wonder just how many people actually fall for the scam.
3:20 p.m. on 2/9/21 Call from this number was a scam. Caller said I had suspicious activity on Amazon acct. and was billed $1499.00. When I said I knew he wasn't from Amazon, the caller, who had an Asian accent, spewed more filth at me than I have ever heard before in my life. Obscenity after obscenity--f word, kiss my ass, bitch, c--t, etc. These people need to be SHUT DOWN immediately.
