The caller left a voice mail that my power is going to be disconnected today and I have to call 1-888-718-0708 to pay the past-due bill. Thank you for posting this number on your website, I was concerned for a second. What did not match was the power supplier he mentioned. I do not get power from Los Angeles.
Just received 2 calls from this number- says it is LA Power and Electrictity saying I own money and they will turn off my power. I don't live in Los Angleas. Very real sounding call- when you call, they answer the phone like a power company and want to verify info.
Threatening to file charges
I received a call from Sandy James stating she's with Nationwide Legal Services re: Case #CR45540 regarding Amber Ortiz who I don't know! I called back at 888-718-0708 spoke to Maxine Morales and I asked for Sandy and I was told she's an investigator and I can't get a hold of her but she will get a hold of the court and have my name removed. She had my correct address but wanted to confirm my phone number and I asked her what is it in regards to and she would not tell me. ( NEVER CONFIRM ANYTHING; i.e.: home address, phone, nothing) because they will want to collect money from you. This is FRAUD!!!
They call looking for a relative and say they are in trouble and going to be put in jail and fined and they have the address and to call the number back before charges are filed. ETC ETC.
This number called me to get hold of my sister. They did not say who they was just that there was a criminal investigation against her. They have been calling her for 7 years. She has no judgment against her what so ever
They called me and said that I have a criminal investigation and I need to give them my social security number and confirm my birthday they then called my sister and told her that I had a new criminal investigation and they were going to show up at my workplace and my home and have me arrested if I did not cooperate. I've been getting these kind of phone calls since 2013 the police or the Attorney General will not do anything. They also told me they issue a bench warrant out for my arrest. Only a judge can do that I'm not stupid. There is nothing on my credit report or a criminal check on me. Do not give these people any information do not confirm a social security number to not confirm your birthday or your address. If there was a true in criminal investigation they don't tell you for one and for two they would already have all this information
Dont call this number is a scam
