robocall about federal student loan, received 2 calls within 5 min from 2 different numbers 678 940 4552 & 475 219 9272 from certain Karen Evans
I keep getting calls from different numbers to call this number back for a student loan. which I don't even have. I keep blocking the numbers but they keep spoofing numbers to get thru to me.

Call from 888-680-2791 class action lawsuit against Sallie Mae, Navient, and other student loan lenders. Gave me a case ID# to sound more legit, I guess. Almost sounded real, but they didn't identify themselves. Always doubt, it's probably a scam. Looks like a scam.
Received an unsolicited voicemail "your student loan account may be affected by recent class action lawsuit against Navient, Sally Mae (and several other well-known student lender names) from 667-281-9172 with "reference number 3131". I never had any student loans.
On Jan 10, 2020 my phone ringed once and the following message was left in my voicemail: "Hello, this is Darren Williams with a follow up on your federal student loans please give me a call at 888-680-2791 reference ID 9551 based on the Sallie Mae class action suit along with Navient that may affect your loan status please call me back at 888 680 2791 blah, blah, blah....I call this bullshit. I plan to ignore this call (I do have a federal student loan but I will not believe anything that's not in writing from the legit lender ).

With recent application denials by 3 other companies (listed) your status may be directly affected. Besides the fact that I have no student loans the urgency and non-matching number are big hints of scam. Caller ID picked up 1-754-255-7105 in my voicemail but it never rang and does not show up in my recent calls list.

I received the exact same call except from a Mark McCain don’t fall for these scams people .. he sounds legit but oh I never had a federal loan and don’t owe him a dime ...
It was a voicemail saying, Hi this is James Davis and ;I'm following up regards to your federal student loans please give me a call right away at 888-680-2791 using reference ID 8771 with the recent applications." Then he goes on to list some unintelligible name of a company and repeats that is urgent to go overrthe recent changes. This is totally bogus I've never had a student loan, and I am over 65.
