Called me 8 times yesterday and twice today. Yesterday, we thought it was just a scam trying to "sell" pharmaceuticals, then we thought it was a Halloween prank because when asked why they kept calling/what they wanted, all the man said was "I want you." And after the first time I hung up on them, they called back and rudely said "FIRST OF ALL, you need to tell me what you just said to me." Weird and kinda unnerving. Needs to be shut down.

Called claiming to be from Directv & that I could get my bill discounted up to 50% for the next 24 months & my services would be the same but would also get free HBO, Cinemax, Showtime. I was asked how much I'm paying & if my services were bundled. I played along and gave them an amount. I was then told my bill would only be 89.99 to include everything (down from $175 I currently pay). I just had to pay 3 months in advance. He then said he would pass me to his supervisor who would give me a code & the ph# to the billing dept. The supervisor ran thru the whole thing with me & said how does that sound? I said too good to be true. She said I just had to go purchase an ebay gift card from one of the national drug stores for the amount of the 3 month bill. I asked her how they were able to do this. She said it was to promote Ebay gift cards and they were sponsoring it. I took all the information & then called Directv after googling the billing phone# & finding it listed as a canadian pharmacy on this site. The lady at Directv talked to the fraud dept & said they had several calls logged about this & that they were investigating it but it definitely was not them. So be smart folks & don't fall for these scammers. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is! Caller: SCAMMERS claiming to be Directv
