I work for a loan company. They called today pretending to be my customer, and used customer's info, including last four of social security number and address on file, when I asked to verify account info on file so I could speak to what I presumed was our customer. They did this in effort to gain info on the customer they pretended to be. I'm pretty positive this violates the FDCPA, and possibly other laws. Fraudelent use of identifying information comes to mind. I hope my company pursues this and they are investigated for fraudelent and deceptive business practices.
