Scam totally
These people call from someplace overseas (big surprise) telling you that your card has been charged. They have an elaborate scheme to get you a "refund" which involves access to your computer and/or credit card. I asked the guy if he thinks all Americans are idiots and he laughed and said "Yes."

At least 55 consumers from California, Colorado, Virginia, Michigan, Maryland, and 16 other states reported phone number 888-404-5111 to the Federal Trade Commission. 87% of complaints reported the call or text message as a robocall or recorded message. The last complaint was on September 13, 2019.
