Who called me from this phone number (888) 398-1552

I received a call back in 2021 and a live person was on the other end. Left a message about a debt that I owed and that I was going to be served and left this phone number, but did not leave any personal information. I called back and spoke to the person who called and this company was hired by the original creditor. This, at the time, was not a scam. I did in fact owe the money and it has now been paid in full.

I got the same HR department call threading to take action against my Dad. My Dad lives in another state! So bogus!

I can't edit my post. The call ended after she repeated the phone number. I forgot to put the " after it. She didn't say I am in Minnesota. I added that when I saw that Mn wasn't on the map of calls.

This is the message that was left on my Google voice - the number that showed up was from my area code but it was probably a spoofed number. "this message is intended for (the name was said with a robotic voice & not my first name) please be advised. This is your final notification in regards to a formal complaint that to be processed and released out to your local jurisdiction against you. we will be contacting you about and resources department for weight assessment and employment verification. This complaint named you as a respondent, and it is attached to your name and social it is imperative that I speak with you or your legal representation to address the pending allegations and get a statement of defence from you. your failure to respond will result in forfeiture of your rights to dispute the matter, and this case will be process against you please contact our office at 888-398-1552. Again, that number is 888-398-1552. I am in Minnesota.

This is 100% a scam. I've reported them to the FTC. Received a call in my husband's name. He called the number back and was told he had an unpaid debt (which is not true). For giggles he gave his e-mail and they sent him a letter with no company name on the letterhead and a bogus address. They have called my work number, my cell number, and his cell number harassing us over this matter after they already stated they were going to file a lawsuit in court and after I already told them to go ahead because there is no such debt. Other numbers associated with this scam are 769-867-8128 and 601-398-9666.

Got same call from 888-398-1552. 1st of all, leaving personal information regarding collection accounts is illegal & a violation of FDCPA

I got a call purportedly from my nephew who’s been deceased for quite a while, and never had any connection with my address or cell number. Shameful.

Got a call from 380-215-1607, on VM number left was 888-398-1552. They are filing a case against my name and ssn and then calling my HR to verify employment. Been receiving the same calls from multiple numbers and no actual information is given when calling back.

Over the same idiotic calm—I find it hard to believe anyone e we outdoor “freak out” over this idiocy—naming a nephew who died 13 years ago. How is that possibly connected to my cell number?

My mother who lives out of state received this nasty vcml about me, that they were placing a judgement against me, they will be contacting out to my HR this and that and i needed to call this 1888-398-1552. I called twice, it would go to rebot vcml. Then i tried again today, this lady answered very rude. Puts me on a 5min hold, comes back on and says my name. I never given her my name. I said how do you know who you are talking to because you called my mother who lives in another state than me. I never received letters, or phone calls from you guys. I asked what this was about, she kept telling me to calm down, kept threatening me, wouldnt give me any information what so ever! then hangs up!

Yes I got the same call stating that there is a case pending with my name and social, and a complaint will be filed if I don’t comply. I freaked out and called back but VM says 2009 can’t be reached. No company or anything! So I’m reading that this is a scam correct?

I got the exact same thing though they called my 74 year old mother looking for me. I have never received a call on my phone from whoever this is.

Got the same voicemail and threat. No name of company blah blah. It needs to stop.

Received a very threatening call from 253 617 4100. Stating this is a final notice and there is a complaint against me and if I do not call 8883981552 they were going to contact my employer and verify my employment and the complaint would go through. Exact wording is on the voicemail. No names, company or any information.

I got this same call with a different incoming number asking me for employer's information along with my social security number so that I could be served. I don't have any outstanding loans.

I have received several voice mails stating a "pending" lawsuit will be filled if I don't comply. They have left messages on my daughters phone and my husbands ex-wife phone. THIS NEED TO STOP! The call to me are from (512) 649-4619. However, the call back number is (888) 398-1552. ASR
