Expecting a call from my financial institution I answered the call yesterday. When I answered I could here a conversation in the background in Indian or Pakistani. When caller's voice got on the line he did know my name, and identified him self as working for a collection contractor for the IRS, and asked if I had received a certified letter from the IRS. About that time I received another call so excepted new call knowing the IRS does not make collection calls, they send certified letters, and they don't hire collection companies.

Caller knew my name, and identified himself as working for a collection contract company working for the IRS, and asked if I received a certified letter from the IRS. About that time I received another call, so excepted new incoming call. I am aware IRS DOES NOT make collection phone calls, they do sent certified letters, and DOES NOT hire collection contractors.
Caller show a company that shows a total different number. Sounds like a scam exchange.
Calls often but leaves no message.
