At least 25 consumers from California, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Texas, and 13 other states reported phone number 888-241-2971 to the Federal Trade Commission. 76% of complaints reported the call or text message as a robocall or recorded message. The last complaint was on March 18, 2019.

This is a hacking scam which targets seinors. They plant a virus, then call you "out of the blue" to fix your problem for $120. A year later, they call again because the trojan horse the planted has now crashed your system once again. Only this time the demand $12K (yes: Twelve thousand dollars) to renew your "contract" (which I never signed on for) for their "computer maintenance" service through auto-billing. These people need to be busted, as I've seen complaints on this scam on other "Who called me"-type sites.
