I should add that a regular insurance represpentative (from number on the back of your ins card) will NOT know; you need to check with your company's fraud dept.
Automated call claimed to be from EmblemHealth and asked for birthdate so I could be given info about whether a medical procedure had been approved. I emailed the healthcare fraud dept. at EmblemHealth (kofraud@emblemhealth.com) and they informed me that (877) 765-9490 is actually a legit company they contract with to make these calls.

The automated call was from Emblem Health regarding approval of a CT scan my doctor requested. I also received a postal letter about the same.
