GOT A CALL FROM 1877-366-1642
Re 877-366-1642. They've called my home phone in SC two nights in a row from two different phone numbers and left a message, but did not ask for any person in particular. A lady with a pleasant-sounding voice claims this is an attempt to collect a debt, but we have no debt and have very good credit. Both nights she left the same exact message. Says she works for Midland Credit Management. I think it is a scam. Another website posts reports of people returning their calls who say there is no way to get to the extension number left and the person that answers starts demanding your social security number before they can transfer you to the person that called you originally! I'm not returning any calls from them. If they believe they have a legitimate issue, let them send me a letter and validate the debt. No one in my family has any outstanding debt.
