I got a text too! SCAM
I got an email stating that an order for a laptop was being sent to Ronn Anderson in Wilmington, Delaware for the amount of $1099.00. I did not order anything. I called Amazon to make sure I wasn't being billed
I got the same email this morning saying my amazon order for Dell Laptop will be delivered today
Same as people above Dell laptop will delivered tomorrow to Ronn Anderson
I too had an email appearing to come from amazon. Info stated I purchased a computer for $899.00, going to Ronn Anderson in Wilmington Delaware. I checked my account and no computer purchase was made, SCAM! Obviously way too many people fall for this or it wouldn't continue!
Same as person above. Email received May 10, 2021
i also got an email from an Amazon looking layout for a $1,099 laptop scheduled to be delivered to Ronn Anderson, i immediately called them and ordered them to stop all charges, delivery and credit card activity with my Amazon account and they continued to tell me that i have the crcss trojan malware on my pc and then Jordan and Peter proceeded to tell me that they could destroy the malware for me and pointed to an Amazon product (strange, acting as if they were actually Amazon but weren't). . .i mentioned to them that i will be reporting this email and will file charges against Ronn and a false Amazon phone number . .they sighed on the phone and rushed me off the phone but i made sure that they know that i will be reporting them to the fraud department. . .i then called the real Amazon and they checked my account and nothing is there, i locked my amazon credit card, and told them that i hope they bring charges against the IP address using their letterhead to commit federal crime!!! the scammers hate me by the end of the call and hung up on me!!!!!!
The big clue to me was the beginning of the email. "Dear Customer". Another clue was it was sent to an email address I never use. If any of the big companies don't use your full name an email, it is most likely fake. Even if they use your name, still be on guard and research before clicking any link.
Same as person above. Scam Amazon order. Dell computer being shipped to Ronn Anderson in Delaware. Do not call or click links in the email.
I also got an email from Amazon showing an order to Ronn Anderson in Wilmington, Delaware for a Dell TV for $1,099. Checked Amazon account and no order in my history. This phone # is listed on the email as Amazon customer service. Definitely a SCAM!
RECEIVED ANA EMAIL FROM SOMEONE POSING AS AMAZON. STATING THAT MY COMPUTER ORDER WOULD ARRIVE AS ORDERED TO: RON ANDERSON, A-84, WALLS AVENUE, WILMINGOTN, DE 95852, US; TRACKING NUMBER 22458156325478
Appears to be an order from my Amazon account, but checked my Amazon account and no such order was placed. The number is one listed on the spam email and at first glance appears to be a genuine message from Amazon. My initial gut reaction was to call and cancel/trace the order because it was a computer, but decided to check my account first.
