received a call from this number. we were told that we won $200,000 in cash and a check for 2.5 million. all we would need to do is get 2 gift cards for $500 each and they would come to our house and get the cards and bring us our $.
Caller said he was from PCH and that I had won $2,500,000.00. WRONG!. I called PCH. I also checked with my bank WRONG AGAIN! He asked me to call him back at 1-876-846-0821. I did not. He called me 2 more times.
This number recently called my phone and the caller identified himself as Peter Anderson. He claimed that my number was automatically entered into a drawing based off of places that I have shopped (Walmart, etc.) He stated that I had won a cashier's check and a 50 inch television. When I explained to him that I have not entered into any drawing, he tried to persuade me that I was entered just by swiping my bank card at certain places and paying my bills on time. I explained to him that, that does not qualify me for any drawing because I have not voluntarily entered into any drawing for any prize. I then asked if I could speak to a manager/supervisor in charge to verify that what he is saying is correct. "Peter" then said let me transfer you to my manager ok. So, I hung up because I initially knew this was some sort of scam or fraud call. However, he was trying to be very persuasive. I also warned him that I would report him and this number and he said if I was a scam person I would have asked for your number at the beginning of the call. But thank God for being able to distinguish a scammer and a real call because these bastards fool innocent people all of the time and it's not right.
Claim's my mother won lottery, won't talk to me want's money on amazon cards. Is a scam.
They claimed to be calling from Publishers Clearing House, saying I had won 2.5 million dollars, and a car in a drawing "at the beginning of the month", and I needed to send $2,250.00 to pay the taxes for the state of Alabama, as "required by law".

This number came up in my phone, and I didn’t call it. It was 3.00 per call for 5 calls. 15.00 on my bill. I called it back on my landline, at it just goes dead. No answering machine, just goes dead.
