Is 876-788-5940 a scam or spam call?
?+1 (876) 788-5940? repeatedly calls our number stating they are with PCH.com and that we’ve won $5 million and a Mercedes Benz. They do no ask for anything, BUT say they will call the next day with an arrival time to give a check and the car. When they call the next day, they say Reader’s Digest, Inc. has agreed to pay the “state income taxes, but there’s a one time registration fee with the IRS of $6700.” I told them I was reporting this, but they continue to call from other numbers.
At least one consumer reported phone number 876-788-5940 to the Federal Trade Commission. The complaint did not identify the call as a robocall or recorded message. It was reported on August 15, 2019. The complaint was reported in Kentucky.

Previous comments (Sept 16, 2019) are spot on! Caller is extremely persistent in calling multiple times per day, at all times of day. Made sweepstakes claims, claims to be with the IRS and have "found money", requests a money order be sent. This guy even tries to impersonate a woman or says "This is the doctor's office". Scummy scammer!
