Publishers Clearing House does not call winners. Don't be fooled by these scammers!
Wanting money for PCH sweepstakes winner. They wanted money delivered to a private residence. $2550
If you say, "stop calling!" They will call you 20x in a day varying the number.
Received a call 8/26/18 from man claiming to be with PCH and stating I would be receiving a certified check tomorrow. He asked if I would be home and if I recalled what I would be receiving. When I stated, maybe....but, PCH states they do not call in advance, he hung up. Be aware of these calls.
Just received a call from this number; the man identified himself as Paul Williams from Publishers Clearing House. Called to congratulate me on winning $2.9 million and a brand new Mercedes Benz. Asked if I would like to receive or decline what I had already won. I asked what was involved with receiving what I had already won. He informed me that all I would have to do to receive the receipt and claim information was pay 0.01% of the taxes on my winnings . . . and asked if it would be a problem for me to pay $585 today to receive my receipt & claim information. I told him that $585 wasn't 0.01% of 2.9 million and asked if he was certain that $585 was all that I would have to pay to receive what I had already won. He assured me that $585 was all I would pay. I told him I had only one question before agreeing to receive the prize that I had already won . . . what is my name? He assured me that they already had all of my information, I did not need to provide him with my social security number or anything to receive what I had won. I again asked, what is my name? He asked me to give him a minute while he checked the system . . . there was then a busy signal and the call was disconnected.

This man, calling himself "John Anderson", left me a voicemail. He had a strange monotone foreign-accented voice and stated he is with Publishers Clearing House. Said he has a certified check and a new car for me. If I'm interested I should call his "office" at 876-481-2831. Clearly a scam!
