866 is a toll free code, and i received aaa insurance notices from this number. disregard 'scam' comment. not true
I did not write the above on scamming. I did ask people about this. I am not sure if it is or not. Do not take the comments seriously unless you find out yourself
This is a scam. Posed as AAA first sent a letter regarding insurance. We were in the market for insurance. We called and were almost going to buy insurance. There is no 866 area code in US. My emails were flagged with a warning. I am so glad we checked all this. It is notAAA

It is a legit phone number for AAA Insurance. They call your prior insurance to get verification for clients that are new to AAA insurance to prove they had at least 6 months of insurance coverage before you joined AAA. This is a common practice and not a scam. p# (866) 841-0146 x 102558
