Who called me from this phone number (866) 277-0042

Same as everyone else except I got a recording and I just hung up.

“Uh yes this is Barbara Anderson I'm calling in reference to your student loans I need to discuss your repayment options with the new changes that are taking effect. Please give me a call at 866-277-0042 with your reference number of ****. thank you…” This number is a scam if everyone is getting the same message.

I wasn't sure why they were calling since I have no student loans. After looking this number and reference number thru the comments above that it is just another scam. It never does any good but these people need to be stopped. I think they multiply like the rats they are.

From NH- same thing, same name, same # 866-277-0042 with same reference code as noted by everyone else. My cell didnt even ring, I just noticed I had a new voicemail.

Just got a call from Barbara Anderson saying to call her back at 8772770042 with reference number 02025. she called from 281 2042528 though.

Received voice message from Barbara Anderson with same reference number as everyone else. Called back and got voice message to leave name and number. I just hung up as I figured this was just another one of those calls about the forgiveness student loan debt. I've received a number of these calls in the past year, which is nothing but a scam. Number came up as unknown. Don't fall for it.

I got a call from a Barbara Anderson requesting a phone call back at 866-277-5599, reference number 02025. The number on the ID (760)283-7320, Oceanside CA.

She's been calling me for months. Same thing as everyone else. Called back Teddy couldn't answer any of my questions as to how he got my number and how my name was on the list as I have been out of school for 18 years on top of me paying my own schooling. When I asked to speak to a manager he hung up. Called back and it went to a voicemail. Next time I may just call the cops. :)

Just talked to someone he wanted 700.00 to "enroll me in the student loan forgiveness program". I almost gave him my bank info glad I didnt after reading all the comments.

Pure scam and ripoff calling to leave half a message on voicemail concerning 'pay back' with a reference number. Do not be tempted to call back! This, likely, is about your nonexistent student loan. Once you call back, they have your number to pass around among the other scumbags. Do Not Call.

Yep, I received the same call from Barbara Anderson, with the same reference #02025. The call came through as "private", however when I went to my Visual Voice Mail, the # came up as 281-204-2528. The call back # that she left was 866-277-0042. I called them and told them I had ZERO dollars in student loans and that they needed to stop wasting their time calling me.

She's called me more than once. Our student loan is a fed loan, so I knew this was fishy, they will never contact you by phone. PLUS the number won't show up in caller ID, it said "private number" on my cell phone.

I also got this, same reference number and also from Barbara Anderson. Will not be calling back. Thank you all for posting

I’ve received the same call from the same person with the same message and reference number twice now. I’ve been given two different numbers to call her back at. Called back once and was sent to a voicemail. So I left a message using only the 02025 reference number given, informed them that I do not have any student loans of any sorts as my only student loan has been paid in full for years now, and if she has any questions or concerns to feel free to call me back at the same number she contacted at me already. Never left my number my name nothing figured she has all that info already. Got another call from her again a month later from a totally different number, a different number to return her call at but still the 02025 reference number.

Sort of hilarious that we all have the same reference number..... does that mean you guys are paying off my loan? ????
