found this number as the costco citi card number in browser search. Thinking its legitimate, I called and then they said I will get $100 gift certificate and after talking 10min, they said there will be one time $2.95 charge, I was not sure and then they said they will give a confirmation number and will be certified by their validation officer.

Same as above, but they couldn't get my card to charge, so they wanted another credit card! Asking for all kinds of personal information- my date of birth, make & model of my car, etc. I finally hung up & called Costco at another number and cancelled my card due to they were not legit.
