Number called twice and I didn't answer. After reading the other comments, glad I didn't. I get the same k ind of scam calls from a 312 # which is the Chicago land area.
Same pitch to my answering machine, but they called in from a number listed on a Geek Squad website (maybe lifted), 1-325-400-3254. Weird thing is, the phone showed the number as belonging to "Mach 1 Upholstery."
Saying I need to call to cancel my "computer support service" which I don't have.
Said they were going to charge $249 to renew my Geek Squad account. I don't have one ... but the guy had my name and address and wanted to access my computer remotely. I played dumb but told him to go ahead and charge me and that I would just dispute the charge.
Said they were from Geek Squad and wanted access to my computer. Said I was going to be charged $249. I said to go ahead and I'll just dispute the charge but the guy has my name and address. I acted like an elderly person and know this is a scam.
Unnamed company wanting to bill for software
Said some charge would be posted to our account and to return their call for some alleged software security renewal. No business name or anything.
