Who called me from this phone number (858) 240-1377

I started researching this number that called me in mid day and I’m just a teen so I thought it was one of my friends so I txted then. Then they called and I did not answer cuz I was scared then after I saw other people reporting this call I felt better that I’m not alone. This number was on the news and they claimed it to be a scam so I just blocked them and deleted there number. If I continue to get calls I’ll update this comment but other than that I believe it’s just a scam.
