Same call from Jake Jameson from state attorney of California

I just received this same phone call. It was first from a local number claiming he was Jake Jameson out of Dallas County and told me to call the law firm. I called the law form at 855-744-0699 and gave them my "case number" and they said I owed a debt from 2015 "Check n Go". Once I started asking questions and asked him to send mail me a copy of the "paperwork" regarding the loan he hung up and said they would have all the original "paperwork" in court. I called the local number back and stated that they had hung up on me when I asked questions regarding the loan so I asked him questions (Jake Jamerson) and he also hung up and said all paperwork would be in court.

I received the same call today and gave the same spiel as what is being said in the comments except the guy said it credit card debt. But I don’t remember the name of that company and said I could pay $500 within 24 hrs and this seems fishy. They wouldn’t call you about it you would be contacted by a police officer with a subpoena to show up in court in you were getting sued not mailed. I’m for sure this is a scam I don’t have what they want anyway will get my lawyer to look into it

Did you hear anything else from them?

Got the same voice-mail as others . Didn't call the number but the VM did say that it would be filed to my local court and served at my address. No clue what they are talking about.

I received the same call today stating they were from a State processing division gave same number to call he was rude as well and asked what payment woukld settle he said 500.00 by friday and hung up on me tried to call back he wouldnt answer called another phone number he answered and said 500.00 by friday and I said are you gonna call ppl from state process division he said he already did and hung up

Got a call from a local number, with a person telling me they were from the state claims commission notifying me that court documents for a claim were going to be filed against me in my county court. I was told to call another number for the law firm, when I asked what this was regarding. Called 855-744-0699 gave them my "case number" and was told that I had a debt with a lender from 2017 I never paid, that they would settle for much less than the original debt if I paid now. Otherwise they would file a request to court to garnish my check 25% until the debt was paid. I asked if they could mail me a copy of the information from the debtor and was told I would receive the information in court and that my request was not reasonable. Then hung up on me. I did not recognize the lender's name, nor remember taking a loan out 5 years ago. I then received another call from a local number from the same person who was posing as someone from my local court, asking for me by name. Then hung up.
