they called 3 times but I didn't answer, assuming it was planning on posing as spectrum as well because we've recently called them
Received a call from this number several times posing as an employee of Spectrum
Call purported to be from Spectrum. Phone call blocker reported 855-707-7328 under that name.
Said changes were made that my spectrum account
02 22 22 Didn't get a call but found 5 charges on my debit card on my bank statement today that i did not make, totaling $4,359.95 with this phone # associated with it, claiming to be for a Spectrum cable account. i do not have an account with Spectrum. No idea how they got my debit card info. i'm very careful with such info, very security conscious. i called Spectrum customer service at 877.463.0677 and the rep i spoke with said that 855 707 7328 *is* a valid Spectrum phone # and that she was forwarding the info i'd provided to their security team.
Got message yesterday and today from spectrum saying i had power outage.They Texted me bit left no voice mail

I paid a medical co-pay at a doctor's office. I used the card nowhere else. Within minutes 6 charges were put on my credit card totaling $850 to Spectrum 855-707-7328. Also two Venmo attempts, PayPal Attempt, Shoe Carnival, and Zappatos all of which were stopped by my credit card company. Come to find out this doctor's office uses a call center located in another country!!! So, check who you are paying. Whoever is behind this works fast. Lesson learned. I now pay my co-pays in cash.
