On 1/30/19, my laptop screen showed a warning of trouble. I called this number which was on the screen and was on the phone with Jerry Wilson (? had a strong foreign accent) with Microsoft for over 2 hours while he said he was deleting viruses, ads, etc. He asked a lot of questions about personal info and of credit cards, including 3-digit number on the back. Even took control of my printer to scan front and back of my drivers license. He said my cell phone had problems of some kind, and fixed those. Eventually he transferred me to a supervisor who informed me of fraudulent charges on 2 of my credit cards. I then called in all three of my credit cards to find a total of $1400 in charges had been made that morning. The cards were canceled and I cut them up. Now it's too late, of course, but I am concerned about the whole deal. The good thing is that I didn't pay anything.
The caller says that he is calling from IT. He suggests that someone is trying to still my bank data from my computer
