Received a phone message that stated they were from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (my health insurer); they wanted to thank me for renewing my plan (which was true) and wanted to review some benefit information with me. Since they are my health insurer, I returned the call. "Richard" answered and asked for my name ... rather unusual since they usually ask for member ID number. He then stated he couldn't find my account and wanted to ask me more information in order to go over my benefits with me. With that I said if he couldn't find my account, I was not going to give him any information and he rather easily gave up. I then called BCBS, and they said they had no record of having called.
