Who called me from this phone number (844) 275-0739

I was trying to get into my credit card account and, my computer got locked up with a message to not shut down my computer, but to call 844-275-0739 which it said was Microsoft in order to unlock my computer. I did turn my computer off and wrote down the number that it told me to call, which is the aforementioned number. I believe it is one of those scams where they want you to send money in order to unlock your computer. But, I just shut it off and this is the second time this happened within the past one to two weeks.
